How We Unlocked £400 in Google Ads Credit For Our Client

We’re always looking for ways to maximise value for our clients, especially when it comes to digital advertising. Recently, one of our new clients was awarded £400 in Google Ads credit, which was a huge boost to their marketing efforts. Here’s how we did it, and what we’d need to do for you to achieve the same.

Our client, who was brand new to Google Ads, running a business with very specialised services but still very competitive in Google Search. First starting with SEO in order to get the website set to make the most out of PPC when we start to run ads (always a strong recommendation from FUZE Agency), we were able to build the allocated amount of spend for the ads themselves. 

Many clients that we start advertising with on Google Ads generally want to start at a lower level of spend which is completely understandable however, tapping into incentives by Google to spend that little bit more are so important to extend the reach capability of your ads. 

What was the process:

  1. Creating a new Google Ads account
    The offer is only valid for newly created accounts (typically less than 30 days old), so timing was essential.
     
  2. Applying the promo code
    Once the account was active, we entered the promo code in the billing section under Promotions. This step must be done before reaching the spend threshold.
     
  3. Meeting the minimum spend
    The option I selected for the client was to unlock the £400 credit with the client needing to spend £400 within 30 days. With a healthy budget, we planned a smart, targeted search campaign to ensure every penny counted and with the credit, knowing we could expand the distance of our reach.
     
  4. Credit applied automatically
    Once the spend requirement was met, Google applied the £400 credit to their account. This essentially doubled their budget, allowing us to scale ads without increasing cost.
     

     

While this is a fantastic opportunity, there are a few terms and conditions to watch out for:

  • The credit is only valid for new advertisers.
     
  • The minimum spend limit must be achieved within a certain number of days and always plan to be a couple of days within this limit if you need to contest anything.
     
  • It can’t be used retroactively or applied to old campaigns.

     

  • This can only be applied to certain ad campaign types. Be sure to double check this. 
     
  • The offer is non-transferable and one-time use only.
